Given the increase in the number of people we serve, we have outgrown our current facilities and are faced with expanding our IMPACT to reach the most vulnerable....our children and youth. This campus expansion will build a 20,000 square foot Community Education Center on 11 acres of land.
The Center will house dedicated space for our older youth and senior citizens, a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) computer lab, an industrial kitchen, a cafeteria, multiple classrooms for parenting classes and family meetings, counseling & office space, and storage space for our housing and food ministry. The Center will also house the first and only community “Gymnatorium” in Scotland County.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER?
A new Community Education Center will expand and enhance the services and programs we offer to the community. PIM has aggressively worked to address some of the greatest needs in our region, which include dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline through education and job training; health and safety; and socio-economic development. This new facility will greatly expand PIM's programmatic opportunities beyond the 70-year old classroom buildings that currently serve hundreds of our children for school-year and summer programs. This community hub will enable PIM to expand its youth and family services, provide a gathering space for community events, and housework teams to expand critical home repair and disaster relief efforts.
ADDING TO THE VISION...
The Community Education Center will not replace our old buildings but will be an extension of these buildings, providing additional space for our participants while engaging in programs and services. The Community Education Center symbolizes a deepened commitment to our community and will help us expand our reach throughout the communities.
